The "Zone of Genius"
Have you ever done one of those exercises to examine your talents, and what you want to do versus what you do to bring in money?
In order to further uncover the zone of genius instructed to ask others what they perceive you to be good at.
When I most recently did this exercise, I was pleasantly surprised at a new awareness.
Although my pottery and dreamwork is super important to me, the area where I generate most of my income is through technical project support.
Where the overlap occurs is when I sell my pottery, and when I can be creative in my tech solutions for clients, aka the zone of genius.
I have strengths in both creative pursuits and logical.
My Mom is an artist and was a teacher and therapist. My Dad was a computer programmer and musician.
Thus, it's no surprise that I have a strong blend of my parents. In my coaching side of work, I enjoy dreamwork, enneagram, the mystical, and creative expression. Pottery is my happy zone!
When it comes to tech, I enjoy many facets, including web design, graphics, css coding, putting automations together that work like a swiss clock. I love spreadsheets, SOP's, KPR's, planning, goal-setting, and project management.
These passions have spanned throughout my adult life in various shapes and forms. Until now, I've kept the tech work a bit of a secret because I prefer to work with only a few clients at a time.
